In "CoolHand Luke" and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", both main characters Luke and McMurohy are stubborn and stick to what they want to to. Although in the story lines they are looked upon as rebellious and trouble makers, I veiw them as just being themselves and not caring about what else is going on. There comes a point in both storylines that McMuphy and Luke feel that are going top quit and feel absolutely defeated, but after they took a look at themselves, they went back to there old ways.
