This is a rough draft of the video documentary. Everyone please leave feedback if theres anything that you think should be edited, added, or removed. If you have any suggestions for text information that should be on the slides or different background music let me know. I wont be at school Monday, comment any feedback before then because I wont have time to work on this Monday. When we present we can play the final copy of the documentary off our blog and include a blog based presentation if we don't have enough statistics/information from the video.

Here is the link to the google doc that we are using to collaborate on for the essay portion. You must be logged onto your gmail account. This is the rubric for the project as a whole. We will be able to edit the paper at the same time and add new research. Make sure you are citing your sources.

Research

Post research you find, the article where you found it, and highlights that may be useful. Also post question ideas (and answers) that we could use to interview students. This will just be a collaboration of things that may possibly be beneficial later in the project.

The island of manhattan was evacuated on Saturday due to hurricane sandy. once the evacuation was over, anyone else on the island is now stuck there until further notice because the bridges were all raised. do you think this is fair to the people trying to get off the island even though they already had a 72 hour notice to evacuate. explain

Many writers and filmmakers who address gender issues cite dolls, specifically Barbie, as a significant influence on female body image.  In Tough Guise, Jackson Katz implies that the increased musculature of action figures leads boys to feel inadequate and overcompensate with violent behavior.  But how much of an influence on gender-related body image can a toy really exert?  The Onion mocks such concerns with its piece about Bratz dolls with enormous heads.  The Simpsons playfully grapples with the issue in "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy."  To what extent has your body image been influenced by dolls and action figures?

What are your views on the streotypes towards the two different genders?

Does anyone think there is a bias towards seniors from teachers? Do you think they push us harder because they believe there is a stereotype for our grade? Like that we are automatically lazy? Have you noticed any changes this year compared to our previous years in high school?
